The issues of specialists training for digital economy were discussed in the University

A round table on the topic «Training in the digital economy» was held at the Leonov University of Technology. The leading industrial enterprises of the Moscow Region and Moscow took part in discussions.

Among the round table participants, both in person and online, were the deputy heads for HR of the Regional Cluster «North-East» enterprises, other enterprises of the Moscow Region, the representatives of the Moscow Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as the management of the University of Technology.

The audience was welcomed by the President of the University of Technology Tatyana Startseva, the Rector Alexey Shchikanov and the General Director of the Executive Directorate of the Moscow Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Regional Employers' Association) Vladimir Kozyrev, who stressed the need to deepen cooperation between the University and enterprises in order to jointly train in-demand specialists.

Within the framework of the round table, the results and prospects for the University of Technology activity on interaction with enterprises of the rocket and space and IT industries were presented: the progress report on the R & D of the Engineering Center «High-Temperature Composite Materials», set up by the University together with JSC «Compozit», was rendered; the high efficiency of the University specialized departments and the involvement of employees of the partner enterprises in the educational process were commended; the unique information and educational platform of the University of Technology was introduced. The platform has been developed by the specialists of the University and allows the employers to establish contacts with the students and conduct the selection of the potential employees. The programs of advanced training and retraining for the specialists of enterprises were also presented.

The round table allowed its participants to outline the prospects for further joint activities and find new cooperation partners. Some of the companies that participated in such a meeting for the first time expressed their desire to join the Regional Cluster «North-East», the educational core of which is the University of Technology. Taking into account the experience of the University of Technology in training qualified specialists for the enterprises of the region, Vladimir Kozyrev, the General Director of the Moscow Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Regional Employers' Association) , suggested that the University become the center of the Moscow Region for targeted training and retraining of personnel and as well as for an independent evaluation of personnel training, and expressed readiness to sign a corresponding agreement with the University of Technology.
