The work of the IX International Scientific Conference of the University of Technology «Future Trends, Organizational Forms and Effectiveness of Cooperation Development between Russian and Foreign Universities» has concluded. This year it was co-organized by the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (Minsk, Republic of Belarus) and the University of National and World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria).

The conference was opened by President of the University of Technology Tatyana Startseva, Rector of the University of National and World Economy Dimitar Panayotov Dimitrov and Rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics Vadim Bogush.

The conference was traditionally divided into two days and this year it was held in person with the remote participation of representatives of Russian and foreign universities. Its participants were professors, researchers and university lecturers from different countries such as Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Armenia, Lugansk People's Republic, Croatia, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Greece, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines.

On the first day of the conference, a plenary session was held with hearing of its participants' reports and the work of the student section was also organized. One of the main topics of discussion was the digitalization of the educational process and the impact of the pandemic on global education.

On the second day, the conference was continued by speeches of lecturers from Russian and foreign universities within two sections: «Digital educational environment as a tool for modernizing education: experience, problems, prospects» and «International activities in the university development strategy: challenges, projects, solutions». The participants discussed the use of information technologies in the educational process of different countries and the possibilities of inter-university cooperation in the new post-covid conditions.

During the two-day work of the conference, the contacts were established between universities and further prospects for cooperation were outlined.

Based on the results of the conference, a collection of reports of all its participants will be published at the University of Technology.
