Research and Testing Center of Additive Technologies will be created on the basis of the Engineering Center of the University of Technology

The Engineering Center of the University of Technology initiated a project to create a Center of Additive Technologies in the science city Korolev. With this project, city Korolev won a competitive selection of innovative projects aimed at creating and developing the manufacture of high-tech industrial products, innovative goods and services in accordance with the priority areas of science and technology development of the Russian Federation and the national projects of the President.

On February 17 the project was defended at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. It was introduced by the Acting Rector of the University of Technology Vyacheslav Startsev.

In the framework of the project on the basis of the University of Technology it is planned to create the Scientific and Testing Center of Additive Technologies, which will increase the implementation of high-tech research and developments, to provide the industrial enterprises of the Moscow region with high-quality services for designing and prototyping integrated parts of promising technology and improve the quality of training the personnel in engineering and technical specialty in the University of Technology.

The project was highly appreciated by the competition commission and the science city Korolev became the winner of the federal competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The funds allocated for the implementation of the project will be used to purchase the necessary operating equipment for the Center of Additive Technologies: high-tech 3D printers for metal printing, 3D scanners, electronic computing equipment, etc.

The industrial partners of the project are JSC «Kompozit» and KB KhimMash named after A. Isaev. In the future, the Center of Additive Technologies of the Engineering Center of the University of Technology will also involve other industrial enterprises of the city Korolev in the research activity.
