Prospects for international cooperation of universities were discussed at the university

The annual international scientific and practical conference «Future Trends, Organizational Forms and Effectiveness of Cooperation Development between Russian and Foreign Universities» was held at the Leonov University of Technology. The university is holding it for the 10^th time. This year Adiyaman University (Turkey) and Namangan Engineering-Technological University (Uzbekistan) acted as the co-organizers of the conference.

The conference was opened by Vyacheslav Startsev, First Vice-Rector of the University of Technology, and Nadezhda Vasina, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Additional Education. In total, 107 representatives of universities from Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus, Finland, Cuba, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Philippines took part in it in person and online.

The conference took place during two days. Within the plenary session, the participants presented reports on international cooperation of universities in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence, joint training of personnel, implementation of advanced training programs.

On the very first day of the conference the student section took place. At this section the students from the universities in Russia and foreign countries shared their views and proposals on ways to develop international cooperation.

On the second day of the conference the joint sections for teachers of Russian and foreign universities: «Digital educational environment as a tool for modernizing education: experience, problems, prospects» and «International activities in the development strategy of the university: challenges, projects, solutions» were held. The participants discussed the issues of digitalization of education, new trends in teaching activities and exchanged experience gained in the implementation of information technologies in the educational process.

The conference allowed the universities to strengthen already existing international contacts and establish new ones. The participants agreed to continue cooperation on improving educational methods and joint scientific projects.
